Raypak pool heaters replaced with efficient condensing boilers and titanium plate heat exchangers.
Another two Raypak’s destined for the scrap heap!
Working in conjunction with equipment supplier Automatic Heating Global Pty Ltd, we successfully dismantled and removed two Raypak Pool water heaters in a quick turnaround time, ensuring the outdoor pools remained at constant temperature for continual school use.
These old Raypak pool heaters had suffered from the usual trio of detrimental conditions that plague commercial pool heating installations:
Aggressive and poorly balanced pool water chemistry.
Condensation of flue gases and subsequent blockage of the heat exchange due to high ∆T.
Poor combustion air quality from being located too close to swimming pool plant room equipment and chemical storage.
The installation was fast tracked by pre-fabricating the close coupled cascading Meridian Condensing Boilers onto skid frames, partnered by a second skid frame containing the titanium plate heat exchangers, modulating valves, and chemical dosing pot.
The complete installation also included new stainless steel flues, condensate neutraliser, RPZD protected water supply, expansion tank, cascade controller, stainless steel and ABS pool water pipework and valves, as well as dedicated fresh supply air intake for the boilers.
